There is an interesting article from Ben Coles in the Daily Telegraph, which is looking at how Leicester should re-jig their team.
Within the article, to back up an argument that spending £600k for Ford is a waste (although also saying the player himself is worth every penny) with their pack as it is.
The stats used are the gainline success and turnovers.
They are as below and Leicester are at or near the bottom of both, which is not very interesting as that is what you’d expect.
Then my eye wandered to the top and I spied Wasps at or near the top of both….
So there is an obvious conclusion……We need to form the TigerWasps! Wasps pack and Leicester’s back line…..
Strangely I think these stats are worse for Wasps than they are Tigers. I think these are things they can fix more easily and Wasps really need to look at why they are not getting the results.
