England U20s squad announced for the 6 nations

U20s squad has been announced, it’s considerably more low key than last year’s squad and it will be interesting to see whether they can do any better under the guidance of Alan Dickens than they managed under Bates and Mallinder.

Other than the players who played last year, the only name that stands out for me is George Martin of Tigers who by the sounds of it is a promising second row. Of those returnees, my 2 to watch are Alfie Barbeary and Josh Hodge. Hopefully Sam Maunder will have learned from last season and can provide a more accomplished option at 9. Other than that there is a huge roster of new names to get our teeth into, hopefully there will be some hidden gems in there.

All 13 premiership-grade clubs are represented except Bristol.
